Does the Creative Zen MX 16GB MP3 player use a hard drive or flash memory?
A found a review of the 8GB version, and that uses flash, but I’m not sure about the 16GB one. See http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=214&product=18615&nav=0&listby= for details.
Judging by the very LOW amount of space, I’d say that it’s Flash. They haven’t sold hard drives that low since the 90′s.
