You won’t regret it, it’s one of the best mp3 players with video on the market. It is too often underestimated in my opinion. The picture quality is superb and it plays all the video files I load on it.
About the Kroo case, I have one and it’s of cheap quality. I also have this one:

A bit tight at first, so I’ve stretched it with a pack of cards and the quality exceeds the Kroo’s. I reckon it’s more expensive though.
EDIT: I don’t see how the iPod Nano compares to the Zen Vision M. One is a 4Gb flash player and the other is equipped with a 30GB Hard-drive. I’d understand if you compare it with an iPod Video, despite the fact that the ZVM has more to offer than all iPods (e.g. FM Radio/Recorder, Voice recorder to name a few).
