what does it mean when it says hub must be self powered?
i just bought a coby mp3 player and it came with a usb cable for charging by computer , i left it charging for more then 12 hrs and it didn’t take charge, it says in my manual that when connected to a usb hub , the hub must be self powered for it to charge, what does this mean?
You need to buy an adapter that plugs into the wall. It won’t charge from the USB connection otherwise.

Or, instead of plugging into a hub, you could plug directly into your computer.
