sony ericsson phones?
I am eligible for an upgrade on my plan and i want to buy either the sony ericsson W300i or the Z310a. does anyone have any complaints about either of the phones? i also heard on the z310a you can add mp3 downloads and have them as ringtones. but i also heard complaints that cingular restricts that option is that true? and if so, is there anythng i can do to prevent that? thank you for all the help
I have been a fan of Sony Ericsson phones for years, and am actually on my 6th one in a row now 
Anyway, either of those are fine. With cingular/at&t, you can use mp3s as ringtones as long as the phones are capable, and all Sony Ericssons are, so that means what you heard is true for both phones. It is Not True that cingular will restrict that. You should check out their website if you haven’t already, and see what other cool things they’ve been coming up with. They have a Theme Creator where you can make your own themes/wallpaper; the Walkman phones can navigate through music by shaking the handset; and so much more. And really, what’s cool about Sony Ericssons is that they are all essentially the same, as far as the menu and functions. Some are more higher-end than others of course, but basically they all go off of the same platform. So then what it basically comes down to is your preference…if you want a phone with an awesome camera, go with the Cybershot series; or if you want one of the Walkman phones with all of the cool mp3 features that comes along with that then go with the W series. But basically, with any of their phones, you will know that you are getting an awesome phone, so just choose one that appeals to you personally. (I like the walkman series, so I just upgraded from the W810i to the W580i
