A really popular freeware mp3 bitrate converter is AUDIOGRABBER 1.83 that’s been around for some time. It’s actually a CD ripper, but you can click on the MP3 option, and in the “mode” area, you can change the bitrate from there. That’s what I do to rip songs into the computer.

OR if you like, you can do a search for mp3 converter or mp3 bitrate at www.download.com, scroll down the list, and look at the reviews and descriptions, and see which program fits your needs. Of course, you can search them on Yahoo,etc.

But what I sometimes do is use another program when a 30-day trial is over for one.
