5th generation Ipod video. how do i fix it?
i push the select button, the apple logo shows up like normal. then it gives me the sad ipod icon. but then it says please wait, very low battery. only problem is, it wont charge. what’s wrong? i’ve tried manually switching it to disk mode. i live so far away from the nearest apple store…..
If you’ve been charging it with the USB connected to the computer, it’s not getting enough power. The USB should only be used to manage content.
Make sure you have the latest iTunes update. Let the iPod’s battery drain completely, then charge it completely using a car or home charger. Then try it.
If it still doesn’t work, contact Apple online or by phone for free help and support. If it does need to be repaired, you can ship it to them instead of going to the Apple Store.
