16GB Apple Ipod Touch iTouch 1st Generation Questions…?
Here are my questions, answer which ever or however many you can/wish:
1. I know this sounds stupid, but is there a way to TEXT people on an ipod touch (ie: other friends phones, etc)
2. I accidentally bought an iPhone silicone case (either first or 3rd gen) will that fit on the Ipod Touch?
3. If I go to Yahoo! on either internet or the mail feature, could I do that IM with my friends that it has on the computer? Could I “text” them from it as well like i can on the computer (on the newer yahoo version)?
4. Once the year warranty is up, could I maybe “buy” another one, or do I just have to be extremely careful?
5. I know this isn’t iPod Touch related, but if I wanted to, could i take my music from one computer and put it on a cd and transfer it to my new computer (its mine, and I wouldn’t give it to friends) or is that illegal?

1. Actually, there are sites for most phone networks that you can use to “text” other phones. My friend has a Touch and he does it. But you need to be in a Wi-Fi zone for that to work.

2. Sorry, no. The iPhone is much thicker than the Touch and a little taller, and will not work.
3. Normally it will not work, but this site claims it has found a way. (I’ve never tried it, so I can’t say for sure if it works.)

Also there may be an app out for it now. Check the iTunes store to see.
4. You can buy an extended warranty for an iPod at most stores, or off the Apple website.

5. That is perfectly fine to do and legal since you aren’t distributing the music at all. However, if you have a lot of music, that could take a lot of time (and CDs). Email me for a better way if you want, one that WILL NOT require you to download anything.
