Unfortunately my ipod shuffle went in the washer !?
lol I was doing my laundry earlier today and realized after taking my clothes out of the washer that I left my 1GB ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen in my shirt pocket. I bet you can imagine how I felt, I’ve only had my ipod for over a month now and unfortunately I killed it today : (. I tried hooking it up to my computer via USB to see If I could recover any music, however no avail, It won’t turn on and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do to fix it.
My question is, do you think the 1 year Apple warranty will cover this type of accident ? Also would it be feasible to bring it back to the store where I bought it from and demand a refund ?
If all else fails, I’ll have to buy another ipod shuffle, but this time I’ll have an excuse to buy the 3rd gen shuffle.

The Apple warranty probably won’t cover it, since the damage was caused by “use with non-Apple products”, even if it was accidental. You might want to take it back to the store and ask them to exchange it, since if the manager’s feeling nice, he/she might do it for you. Otherwise, you’re probably stuck getting a new iPod.
