Is my iPod nano 5th generation battery defective?
I just got a new iPod nano (16GB) and I read on the Apple website that the battery is supposed to last 24 hours for audio, and 5 hours for video. However, the battery seems to last quite a bit less than that. For example, I’ll play one of the games on there for about ten minutes, and when I exit the game, already the battery icon will have 1 pixel gone. Also, the battery only seems to last about 9 hours or so when I’m listening to music (I haven’t measured it exactly, though).
Is lower battery life than what is advertised common for the 5th generation nano? Or does this mean that my battery is defective?
Also, if I send my iPod back to Apple, and they find that the battery is in fact defective, will they just replace the battery, or will they have to send me a whole new iPod?
Well the games take up more battery so that should be normal.
As for music, the speakers take more battery than headphones.
I’m pretty sure that the battery is good.
Remember, it’s 24 hours for audio and ONLY audio as in, no pressing buttons after a song starts.
If you want, you can still get it checked out by apple but I’m pretty sure that there’s nothing wrong with it.
