Why is it that the Second Generation Ipod Touch is less expensive than the First generation at Apple?
Does that mean the Second Generation is of a lesser quality?
Does anyone know when the Third Gen. should be out?
the first gen was more expensive because the technology was new, and state of the art at the time of release (and i think it still is!)
Apple lowered the price of their second gen for a number of reasons, mainly marketing skills, prototype was cheaper to make and technology used being widely the same as 1st gen ipod touch.
The second gen ipod touch is BETTER than the first ipod touch (has a built in speaker and lighter) than the 1st gen ipod touch and does not lack in quality at all.
As for a 3rd gen ipod touch, there may or may not be one, apple are always secretive about there new models and there are no rumors in cuirculation at the moment.
