Apple iPod – two questions…?
first question – what is the difference between gen 1, gen 2, gen 3 – i dont understand this?
second questions – i have found a lot of cheaper “refurbished” “works perfectly new” “1 year apple ipod warranty” ipods on eBay and was thinking of getting one for my boyfriend for his birthday (2 weeks away) coz he loves his music – but i have noticed most only come with the ipod, earphones and adaptor cord to the computer for transferring the music – how do they charge???? should there be a charger cord or does it charge when connected to the computer? are there any other things i need to get or what type of software? we have windows xp so it will be compatible right??

the 1 gen was the 1st one and could only hold songs and pics
the 2 gen came in more colors a little smaller
the 3 gen comes in different color now way way smaller and could hold vidoes now but be warned the 3 gen is very weak i broke at the store
P.S. if your boyfriend has a lot of songs and vidoes id perfer the ipod classic
they all charge with the USB cable and you could get wall chargers and car chargers
just tell him to download itunes from the apple website.
