ipod classic not recognised and timeout expired error messages? HELP!!?
Hi, I have a 30gb video ipod that worked just fine till recently. Now whenever I connect it to the computer and it starts to sync, it freezes and comes up with an error message that says timeout expired, and the options, cancel, continue or try again. No amount of try again works…
I’ve tried using different cables to connect it to my pc, in case the connection is compromised, I’ve tried using a USB hub to connect it too, I cant get it to restore as it wont connect long enough. Its also not even a space issue as I currently only have 8gb of music on there and no movies. Warranty is over…
I’m 1 step away from hurling it out the window.. Can anyone help? Pls dont tell me to go to apple website as I find it impossible to navigate and find the right pages.

To reset your ipod slide the hold button (silver white button
on top of the ipod)to the lock position so you can see the orange
color then slide it back again now hold down both the menu
button and the center select button until the apple logo appears
then release both buttons.
