component speakers help!?
im getting one type r subwoofer in my truck. What other speakers would be good with these? I dont want them to have alot of bass since I will have a sub. I also have a alpine 9856 deck, what speakers will get powered by these so they sound nice and clear?
the speakers that fit are 5 1/4 in the rear and front doors. dodge ram 99. what is the difference between 3 way and 2 way component speakers.

Any alpine component will sound clear with your set up but I suggest adding a small amp and putting in type R components because they have a crossover in the kit which makes the quality of the sound much better.
2 way and 3 way is just the number of components of the speaker that sound is put through. A way would probably have a dome speaker and a tweeter. A three way would have that and another tweeter that puts out an even higher frequency. Basically what I am getting at is COMPARE the frequencies to find what you want.
Oh yeah dont go by max watts either in case you havent found out thats where the speaker blows. RMS is what you want to look at and that is where the amount of power the speaker can handle over long periods of time.
